Ebay Question

I have a few coins up for bid on the Bay. Of course I like to take a look and see who is bidding on my coins. I noticed one of the high bidders has the following feedback

Positive feedback rating BEWARE! UNTRUSTWORTHY. EBAY SHOULD BAN THIS PERSON!
Positive feedback rating Not Trustworthy. Never paid after coin was shipped. Stopped communicating.
Positive feedback rating I never received payment from this buyer. I'm not sure what happened.
Positive feedback rating Never paid , gave me a wild story why she could not pay !!!! DID SAME TO OTHERS
Positive feedback rating Sellers beware, never paid for coins but kept buying from others.
Positive feedback rating never paid for item, chooses and picks what to pay for at end, possible fraud
Positive feedback rating A+++ Seller: Follow-up by Says he never received coin. Refunded payment.
Positive feedback rating Cancelled deal/Has some personal grief/Situation to deal with/Great Ebayer, A+++
Positive feedback rating TRANSACTION WAS CANCELLED BY THE BUYER
Positive feedback rating OK,transaction cancelled

Of course there are also some of these:
Positive feedback rating 1 OF E-BAY'S FINEST!! * ABSOLUTELY GREAT!! * FAST PAY!! * NICE!! * GOD-BLESS!! *

Two questions. Why on earth would sellers give a positive feedback rating with comments like that??? Is there anyway to cancel bids from this buyer?

because eBay in all of its wisdom made the only possible feedback left by sellers as positive

yes you can cancel bids from 1 bidder - tell us who

so we can all block them

If these sellers would quit wasting their time adding green donuts to this deadbeat's feedback profile and file the unpaid item strikes, they'd already be booted from eBay.

He's already on my list, perhaps we've discussed him before?

obviously buys a bunch and THEN decides which ones he/she wants knowing that seller can't leave a neg. Like Russ said filing NPB with ebay will eventually boot the buyer. Of course the buyer will be back sooner or later with a different account. To some people winning a bid is an addiction, could be the case here.

    yup.

    "heavy bid retractor" thread

I guess this person is not up to how eBay works yet.

Since I have joined this forum I have added a lot of bidders to my block list and once in while I will list a few items on ebay. Problem is I will get a message, why will your auction not let me bid. Then I sit and think what has this person do to make me block them. Anyone else run into this?

Once in a while I'll get that question. Then I tell them that we have a past together and
    that there is a reason.

Never have had any further communication as they are probably so confused they don't
    know what to think!

I tell them "I belong to a group of coin sellers who share bad ebay buyer names with one another. If you cross one you cross them all. I don't know what you did and who you did it to but you're not gonna do it to me."

Hopefully this if nothing else will improve their behavior on ebay.

I never block bidders based upon other people's issues with a buyer. If you get into a fight with a 'bad' ebayer, they may still bid in your auctions using alts (or sockpuppets, in ebayspeak), just to neg you. Not worth the effort, or the risk. I have over 11,000 positive feedback and almost never have issues like this. Every once in a while a bidder wants to retract, and I don't view it as that much of a problem.

i have so many people on my blocked list im amazed that there is anyone left to bid, when i get a note from a bidder asking why hes blocked, i respond with the truth. "cuz somewhere along the line your ID was identified as a potential headache, and i dont like headaches"

This person bought a Liberty Walking Half from my wife on August 20
and e-mailed to ask if she can wait until Sept. 3 to pay because that is when she gets her SSI check. My wife told her no problem. On Sept. 3 she was invoiced again and this is her story. My husband was hit by a drunk driver last night and had to have his arm amputated could you please relist your item because we are both on SSI and when he recovers maybe he will still want the coin. My wife was going to relist it but then i looked at her feedback and she was still buying coins so i told my wife to file an unpaid claim with E-Bay. My wife filed the claim and then we received 10 of the exact same e-mails stating ---- how can you file an unpaid item dispute over a dumb coin? Don't you have any feelings? If you were in this situation it would be a different story. After four days the case was closed and my wife received her fees back. This lady bids on anything and only pays for what she wants.
