Lot viewing at Long Beach
The tmobile wireless connection in my room is rockin!
That being said,
It is always best to see the coin in hand first.... after having 23 items on my "watch list" I have narrowed that down significantly.
Lesson: Don't judge a heritage auction by a photograph!
p.s. one wine bottle down, 2 to go

No more bidding for me though. I've hit my limit!
<< <i>Now you need to find more on the floor to make up for it. >>
Gonna be a long day tomorrow for sure.
p.s. I felt sorry for the couple that sat next to me in the lot viewing room. This one dude brought his gf/wife with him to look at error coins, and he was very much into the viewings but she was bored as heck. Trust me, I have brought a gf to a show before (santa clara show to be exact a couple years ago) and she was bored also. Just don't do it!

That is why I never bring anybody to a coin show with me if they weren't interested in going in the first place.
It goes beyond just coin shows as well. If I attend a wedding of someone I know and the other half doesn't know them well I won't take them. The ceremony may be emotional for the wedding couple and their friends and family, but hardly as sentimental for anybody else.

It is not too late to learn about, and appreciate, coins that were just auctioned. I wrote about some of the coins in the Goldbergs and Heritage auctions in September. I may write about more for my weekly column, which appears every Wed.
