I have noticed on the bst that the amount of 90% silver had dwindled considerably.I.m new to bullion so is this normal? as the bull charges people hold onto their pms a bit tighter?

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

There might be a lack of sellers on the BST, but Tulving currently has 250 $1k bags for sale. They are more often than not completely sold out of 90% bags so this would indicate to me that more people are selling into strength.

<< <i>What is 90% silver bringing these days? Do half dollars bring a premium over dimes and quarters? >>
It depends. I've got $500 counted out sitting on the floor at the coin shop right now. If you came in and said you wanted to buy half a bag of silver, you could buy it all for melt, cash or check. I think there's either $100 or $150 in halves in the mix.
If you came in and said you wanted to buy all our halves, but not the dimes and quarters, you would pay a higher rate.
If you came in and said that you wanted to buy $500 worth of halves, you would pay an even higher rate, because then I would have to go out and buy the extra face value I needed for the order.

It is selling dimes or quarters at melt.
Oh, if you want halfs it will cost you 10¢ more per dollar face.

<< <i>If a scenario comes where you need that 90% for bartering or smaller purchases like gum, candy, soda, newspaper, etc....those Merc dimes will come in very hand. Or you can just fork over a half dollar and pay $7-$10 for the paper. The halves will work well for a pack of smokes someday.

A Peace dollar might even get ya a pack of cigs here in NY...maybe. Bloomberg isnt done yet.
<< <i>Dimes always seem to be the hardest sell. Everyone wants half dollars for their 90%. >>
I'll tell you where that is NOT true....metal detecting clubs. Most clubs have a sponsored hunt, either an open hunt where any one can join, or a private member only competition hunt each year and the majority of what is planted is dimes. By these clubs, they are the most in demand form of silver (I say this following our hunt this month for which I had to acquire the silver as Treasurer).
