Odds of an R5 CBH slabbing....

With slight damage, Clearly old damage mind you.

The coin in question is a Capped Bust Half Dollar in VF+, 1825 O-109, There are two marks on the Obv. one just beside the eye about a MM wide the other just below the date half as wide but not as deep, neither of with is very deep to start with. I know its hard to judge with my desc. so I'll be trying to get pics up in the next day or so. Just throughing this out for opinions for the masses since I'm looking at submitting to PCGS for the first time.

If Pcgs thinks the marks are from normal circulation it should grade.Of course I am assuming the coin has no other problems.VF coins are allowed some damage that normally occurs during the years of circulation it took to wear down to that grade

Even if it gets in a Genuine holder it will be attributed and can go into the Registry.

But from your description it should grade if it hasn't been cleaned.

It will be attributed only if you pony up the extra fee.

Cost you $24 for the Overton number on the PCGS label, whether or not the coin grades.
