There's something wrong with the description of this lot that's running the bids up way past what the coin is worth. Can anyone tell what it is?

    Looks like a 1 Gersh, not 1/4 Birr.

    Exactly. NGC misidentified it.

    Judging from the final price I'd say bidders were trusting what the slab said. A gersh in that grade would be worth more like $100.
