When selling 100 oz Engelhard bars, is APMEX a good buyer?

helping someone out. He has more than a few 100 ounce Engelhard bars. I see APMEX has a 2045 dollar buy price posted. Do they make you jump through odd hoops to sell to them or how does that work? Is this a good route to take?

I likely will suggest that the owner of the bars sell them a couple at a time over the course of a month or so

without studying particular website buy prices, I must say I have had very good experiences with Tulving.

I had good easy sell to them 500 oz min. on silver. You have to pay shipping only bad part about whole deal.

I registered online then called. Salesman/buyer locked in buy price emailed me invoice/confirmation #. You ship to them registered insured.

Had a check in about 2 weeks. I'll use again in a heart beat. This was last Oct. 2009.

If you can lock in $2045, do it, because just about anywhere else is going to only give $2015 right now. The extra $30 takes care of your shipping costs and you'll actually realize $2015+ rather than that being your starting point.

If their minimum is 500 oz. as per GSA, then selling a couple a month won't work.
Call a few local B&M's and see what they are paying. It may be a bit less per ouce, but if you can drive there you don't have to pay the shipping, and you can usually have an immediate check.

just sell em to gsa1fan..he buys everything that isnt nailed downimage
  • I've sold to APMEX several times without a problem. You'll need to set up an account which can be done in a few minutes on the phone. They create P.O.'s and e-mail it to you to enclose in the package.

Yes, you have to pay shipping but I've never paid more than $30 to USPS for shipping cost. Since I don't have a good B&M buyer within 50 miles, APMEX and ModernCoinMart have received a lot of business from me in the last couple years. Always been good service and quick payment.

My local B&M pays 10 cents back of spot and they're about a mile away. Check your locals first.
