The auction of the James Workman superior collection of British bronze
pennies is now in progress. The auction will run until Wednesday
Morning of the 22nd. September.
Already, 70% of the coins have bids on and will be sold. Don't miss
this rare chance to own that elusive date or variety that you have
been searching for. The auction is run by Colin Cooke Coins, where
there is an online bidding facility. The web link is

Is this a Cooke auction where there is no set ending time like with the Nicholson 1/2d collection?

Exactly the same, every bidder has time to deliberate about bidding and how much to bid with no last minute sniping.
I have managed to obtain many rare coins from this type of auction, none of these last second snap decisions required.
I can recommend this type of auction, he who wants the particular coin the most can certainly obtain it, as long as it is in the range of what they can afford.
You probably think that this method hypes the cost of coins but look closely at the realizations and you will see that many coins sell at the reserve prices. Everyone has the same oportunity of getting the rarities.
