opinions on hockey goalie Alec Connell

I am not all that knowledgable on earlier HK.
A recent poll...add connell to all time goalies..

Is he an all timer? I know he has a ton od shutouts but few wins. He is a HOFER.

The game was WAY different back then. Georges Vezina, Clint Benedict, George Hainsworth, Turk Broda, etc. The list goes on. You only played a few games in the pre-war era compared to today. He is a great, but the ones I mentioned are at the top with a bunch of others. You just can't tell how great players from 100 years ago were since there was no TV. All we can do is read about them.
