me: My USPS Delivery Confirmation Tracking Reciept checked on line shows it delivered to your address on Sept. 3rd at 2:04 PM in the afternoon. If I can be of any further assistance please feel free to contact me.
Buyer: (10 minutes later) Yep, your right I have them.
Is it just me or did I avoid a POS ripping me off because I had my DC?
Or am I just paranoid.....How the He!! do you Not Know you recieved a box with 235 cards in it 10 days before? And then just find it in 10 minutes?

Covered you rear end with the DC and it paid off. Follow the rules and you should be OK 99.9% of the time.

I recently received two neutrals from one seller because it took 8 days for him to receive his item... this was his feedback:
Received merchandise in 7 days. Also their were a few defective sleeves.
I sent the items DC Priority Mail which I sent out within 24 hours from the sale...
I sent him this email:
Hi:
I know you are new to eBay, typically if you are dissatisfied with a purchase or shiping time you should contact the seller prior to leaving a negative or neutral feedback to give them a chance to correct any issues. I apologize for the delay in your getting the items you purchased from me. If you look at the tracking information you will see I did process your order the next business day.
Unfortunately I can not control the time the post office takes to deliver an item. I did in fact send the Cardsavers priority mail which typically gets the items to you within 3 business days. It didn't happen this time and I am not sure why.
You mentioned that a few of the sleeves were defective; not sure how that could be but I trust they were. As you could see the item was brand new and I just distribute them on behalf of cardboard gold. Having said that, I do not want you to be dissatisfied so I am shipping you an additional 100 sleeves at my cost.
Sorry for the problem
His response:
Yes, you are correct that I am new to E-Bay. I realize that the merchandise you sent was from the manufacturer and that the three sleeves that were halfway slit on one side is not your fault. It was not a big deal to me, so that is why I did not contact you, however I will be honest in my appraisals. You did not have to send those extra sleeves, but thank you. As far as mail I prompted that it was not early or late. I would still do business with you, in fact, I am looking for sleeves that fit the pre-1956 baseball cards. Do you have any for sell.
Apparently some people just don't get it... if he had looked at the tracking information I provided when it was shipped he would have seen that it was in fact shipped in a timely matter and the postal service is out of my control... It wasn't a "big deal" to him he stated yet he left me neutral feedback.
About a month earlier I had a similar situation where the buyer ordered sleeves from me and left me negative feedback.

Shipped next day-was received 2 days after- doesn't reply to emails. Not legit.
His comment of 1337 was so enlightening as to why he was dissatisfied that I contacted eBay and asked if it could be removed... the funny thing was my "stars" in that situation weren't dinged so I asked it be removed as the feedback didn't match the rating given on the DSL's... another new eBayer who doesn't even give the courtesy of a reply as to what if any the problem was... I liked it better when you could stop buyers from purchasing items if they had a feedback of below 10...
Gotta love it...

Steve:
No, sorry for the confusion, it was two different buyers. The negative came first and I was going nuts trying to figure out why and what the issue was. He's only bought two items ever and left 1 feedback, the negative for me. That was in July, then on Sept 3rd I received the neutrals from another buyer of which I copied our contact thread...

Why did you tell him to contact you if he needed further assistance? I give them the one liner and that's it. I do not ever exchange a ton of emails with buyers and sellers. In my world it's simple---If I win an item...I pay for it; if I sell an item...I ship it when I get paid. No more no less. If it's an expensive item I make sure to put the tracking number on EBAY to give the buyer peace of mind that the card has shipped.

Delivery Confirmation and Signature Confirmation are
the ONLY defensive-forces that make EBAY usable by
sellers.

Morning,
Because in my Gut, I knew this guy was trying to pull one and I hate to say it, but was trying to call his Bluff. Should have not added second sentence but sometimes I am Human and can't help reacting in what would be a normal Non E-Bay way!!!
Now there is a small chance that he actually didn't remember getting them (Which I think is BS, in 12-13 years have never sent anybody an E-Mail "where is my stuff" because I couldn't remember getting it, or at the least would have torn my place apart to confirm I didn't recieve it before sending E-Mail).
So the guy does have 100% positive Feedback....Do I out him without more proof. The feedback doesn't really mean anything because he could do this over and over and its not like a Seller could Neg him!!
So....What's the consensus?
Neil
Because there are MILLIONS of potential buyers on EBAY,
those who present the SLIGHTEST indication of being a
"possible problem" should be on the BBL.
I would not out the guy HERE until the FB deadline has passed.

great point since we have had a few Cindy Brady's here causing trouble
Had one newbie claiming he hadn't received a box of 87 topps did some research and saw where he had bought like 5 bxs of 87 topps all from different sellers all within 2 days of each other, finally convinced him through USPS and DC that he had received my box. I think he was being honest and just had me mixed up with another seller. He became one of my better customers.
I save all delivery confirmations & signature confirmations for 2 Years, I have heard of horror stories where the buyer after 5 to 18 months have disputed the transaction on their credit card and won. JMHO
"...The buyers that get me are the ones that wait 30 + days and then email saying, hey where is my item? these are definitely the buyers that hit the BBL..."

I never contact a seller until about 30-days have passed.
Sellers are busy AND mail-service can be spotty. No point
in raising heck too early.
.................................
Best to hold DC/SC info "forever." The credit-card gangs
can be convinced to go waaaaaaay back.

Ask around. I'm sure someone has a screenshot.
Really sucks that sellers have to worry 2 or 3 months after the sale date. Pathetic.

I'll wait just in case.

<< <i>I just had a guy file a bogus SNAD case against me. Its been almost 2 months and past the 45 day deadline. But he opened the case with ebay so apparantly you have longer than 45 days if you do it through ebay, (instead of paypal).

EBAY "resolution Center"
Timelines
If you haven't received an item, you can open a case 3 days after the estimated delivery date (if available) or 7 days after making payment (if no estimated delivery date was provided). If you received an item and it doesn't match the seller's description, you can open a case right away. You must open a case within 45 days of making payment.
The seller has 7 days from the time you open the case to reply.
You should receive a refund within 3 days of the seller promising a refund or within 10 days of the seller receiving the returned item. If you haven't received a refund by then, please contact eBay through the Resolution Center, and we'll work with the seller to provide you a refund
In the rare situation where a seller doesn't reply to you or follow through, and 7 days have passed since the case was opened, you can escalate the case to eBay. If we determine you're owed a full refund, we'll ask you to send the item back to the seller, and we'll issue you a refund within 3 days of the seller receiving the item.

Enter that fact in your reply.
Usually, the machine catches the date and will not
accept a late filing.
I would call EBAY and ask wassup.
