1973 s "MCMLXXIII" 100% complete proof set (7 coins)... All pcgs graded 69DCAM's with a few top pop coins, from Lincoln cent to clad & silver Ike dollars. Just don't have the time or $$$ to send this set in for a pedigree service. Current rank #2. Ranked #3 all time... The only flaw is a few chips along the groove of the pcgs plastic holder on the dime.
Asking $200 delivered for the set...

Modern mint and proof sets aren't eligible for pedigree services.

The cent is worth $50-75, the nickel about $10-15, the dime about $10 or so, the quarter about $10 or so, the half about $15 or so, & the dollars are worth about $50 or so together (say $15/$35 for clad/silver) for a grand total of $145-$175.


PCGS says the penny is worth $175, the nickel is worth $50, the dime is worth $50, the quarter is worth $42, the half is worth $47, & the dollars $55 & $78 (respectively for the clad & silver) for a grand total of $492!

Guess our hosts don't think auction records are needed for such modern crap.

Modern proof coinage is certainly overpriced in the PCGS price guide. Regretfully, most modern proof sets contain PR69DCAM coins. The only reason there are PR69DCAM coins slabbed is due to the submitter hoping for a PR70DCAM.

Not necessarily true. Dealers slab a certain number of these because registry members WANT PR69DCAMS for their sets. That is what I buy each year. Steve
