O/T - Let's remember

Being someone who lives near NYC, nine years ago today is a day I will never forget (As I am sure most of you will never either). I knew someone who died in the Twin Towers that day. Please keep all those who lost their lives that day in your prayers and thoughts. May they all rest in peace. Thanks.

I was a freshman in college, sitting outside of class, waiting for class to start when I first heard a tower had been hit. I remember what I did, what I said, and what was running through my mind. I thought about the hotel bombings in Africa immediately. I remember loathing the thought that Bin Ladin may have had a major hand in what transpired and continued to transpire thoughout the morning. I remember being pissed off that my arsenal was 400 miles away with my parents and trying to plan for the worst should martial law ensue, or should we need to rally a militia.
For an hour or so, I don't think anyone really knew what was coming or how long it would last.
God rest the souls that lost their respective lives on that tragic day, and those who've done so fighting to prevent another day like 9/11 from occurring.
