Had a chance encounter with a boyhood hero tonight, Notre Dame and Raiders great Dave Casper

I'm at Notre Dame this weekend for the ND/Michigan game tomorrow, and was walking by the stadium tonight and spotted one of my boyhood idols,
Dave Casper. I asked him if I could get a picture with him and he was cool. I was 3-4 when he played for ND and helped them to a national championship, and that's the first memories I have of Notre Dame football was his teams. He then went on to a HOF career with the Oakland Raiders, and is one of the reasons why I chose to follow the Raiders as a child. Would have been cool if I would have had a mini helmet or something on me for an autograph, but I had no idea I was going to bump into hm. I've already got one of his signed rookies anyway so I really don't need his graph on anything.

Also bumped into some others, but Casper was the one I was excited to meet. Been a fun trip so far. Lots of memories.

LOL, the only thing I stalk these days is good pizza. Already been to Bruno's Pizza tonight as well. I'll have to hit Bruno's again tomorrow after the game, either to celebrate a win, or to drown the sorrows of a loss with a pizza pie.

great story Mike! You sure do meet alot of people! Knock the stripes off those Wolverine helmets!
