shoebox cards - vwshoebox

Has anyone purchased cards from this seller before? They have a lot of nice seemingly mid grade cards available that are unslabbed, but I'm always hesitant about trimming.

I have purchased several. Fine seller with quality cards. Just expect the cards to grade 1/2-to-1 grade lower than advertised.

I bought a '57 Clemente from Wayne in high grade a few years back. He's a good guy and seems entirely honest and forthright.

Wayne and Bill are great guys, you won't have a problem.

Wayne told me once that while he won't guarantee what a card grades, he will guarantee that it WILL grade.

The first time I met him was at a SF show about 7 years ago. I asked him if he had one particular tougher card, the '57 Bakep error. He said no, but he'd seen it. He proceeded to throw a cover over his table and walk thru the show with me until he found it. It was Saturday morning on a 2 day show, primetime, and yet he took the time to walk thru and find the card I was looking for. And would not accept as much as a cup of coffee for it.
One of those guys that make this hobby such a pleasure.

Wayne and Bill are reputable, honest sellers. I saw them again at this year's National in Baltimore. I believe they have a website, "Shoebox Cards," that gives their history as long-time dealers. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them. That being said, I don't know of many dealers who don't overgrade their cards just a little.

Always looking for Mantle cards such as Stahl Meyer, 1954 Dan Dee, 1959 Bazooka, 1960 Post, 1952 Star Cal Decal, 1952 Tip Top Bread Labels, 1953-54 Briggs Meat, and other Topps, Bowman, and oddball Mantles.

Have bought several cards from them--always been a smooth transaction--no problems.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

In my opinion, Wayne and Bill are top notch guys. I have purchased from them many times, and I have always been pleased. I have found their grading to be accurate. Never a bad experience with them.
Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason.
Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.

I have purchased from them a few times. Always pleased. Just check out the cards and determine the grade for yourself.

The last card I bought from them, a '33 Sport King, was graded by them as Ex. It came back a PSA 7
