Shipping to Canada with a tracking number?

After hundreds of successful transactions shipping to Canada without needing this - I now have a buyer demanding an item be shipped using the USPS and a tracking number. Our local PO is telling us this cannot be done. Any suggestions? In shipping from the US to CA what shipping method would provide a tracking number?

I try not to ship to Canada or Taiwan there's always some kind of issue.
Buying Vintage, all sports.
Buying Woody Hayes, Les Horvath, Vic Janowicz, and Jesse Owens autographed items
Express Mail International is the PayPal-bulletproof method
of shipping to Canada. (About $30.)
Leave it to EBAY/PayPal to take the worldwide out of WWW.
Here is some advice for you Canadian buyers - stop being such jerks!
I lived there for three years and paid top dollar for every card I bought because a few Canadians controlled the market for high end cards. Then Ebay happened and the whole market opened up and prices dropped.
So now, and read the few people here who responded, sellers don't want to ship to Canada anymore because of the "hassels", and when you read hassles, understand it's the Canadian buyer who is the source of the hassle. You are going to ruin a good thing if you don't have a better understanding of what we go through trying to ship there.
If we have a 100% feedback rating of over 500, we are not selling to rip you off. If the card doesn't arrive within a week - it's your customs that's holding it. If we haven't paid with a few minutes of an auction closing it's not that we are trying to rip you off. Stop being so nasty.
I love Canada but I'm on the verge of giving up on selling to and buying from Canadians.
"...Here's an update on the shipping, there is no method that tracks past the US border...."

USPS Express Mail International (EMI) is 100% "tracked"
and offers online-viewable Signature Confirmation of
delivery to the Canadian addressee.
EMI is bulletproof, for PayPal purposes. Costs about $30.

Storm, can EMI be used for all other countries besides Canada? Just wondering because i sell rolling stones items and often times are won by Europeans and south americans.
The post office is screwin us man.
There are as many shonky sellers as there are buyers. Scumbags ruin things for decent folk all the time.
The solution for a seller is to ship using USPS Global Express although it does cost around $30 (ouch) -- tracking and insurance is available. Sometimes I think incompetent USPS staff is the main reason for sellers finding it too hard to ship out of the country. There are many sellers I can't buy from as they refuse to ship outside the country. That works beautifully to lower the price of cards -- it also shows me who to avoid from a consignment perpsective. It ain't that hard to get the right info.
Now for low value cards, I can see why USPS Global Express would be too expensive. I've often asked sellers to send the cards via USPS 1st Class Mail International ($6) or Global Priority (+/-$12) and virtually every single seller I deal with is OK with that. That's the beauty of a commercial relationship -- you end up trusting the other party. The otjher thing is that while sellers can't 'neg' a buyer, they can surely leave a critical comment. Read them and you get a good idae of the type of buyer you're dealing with. Hell, I've sent bank drafts to sellers to avoid Paypal fees. That puts 100% of the risk on me and we're talking high value items too.
Scam artists are the exception, not the rule. It'd be nice if everyone remembered that.
Yes, it is international....

A few countries are excluded. See list.
EMI is a bit cheaper than GXG, but still PP/EBAY compliant. GXG is
usually a day or two faster, but not always.
EMI is the best general solution.
