Just got a sub back and got these 1990 Donruss Learning Series cards back. They are great for player registries. Check out the scans to see some of the cards. These are different poses and numbers than the regular 1990 Donruss set.

I have decided to sell the remaining cards all as one lot. It's only a 56 card set, so this is a great way to get about 25% of the set in one shot. Included on the lot are 7 PSA 10 and 6 PSA 9 cards.

Selling all 13 cards for $80 dlvd - that's just above the price to get graded.

Dialj - I'm surprised not more of these have been graded. I would think player registry set collectors would need these. It's a fun little set.

I completely agree. The set is LOADED with HOFers. I am down to about 8 cards to complete the set in PSA 10 and am the only one on the registry. The vhs tape that went along with it is extremely hard to come by.

I'm curious- Does the learning series have the same errors as the base set? Was wondering if there was a Glavine/Smoltz wrong picture card for the learning series?

It's not really a parallel set to the regular issue in anything but color and design. It's just 58 cards, so it's closer to a Rookies or Highlights set, really.

I'll defer to Dialj (nice registry set, btw) and Andrew's knowledge of the details but I think it was designed to be used with kids as a learning tool in schools.

Hey Mike,

The only Brave in the "Learning Series" set is Tom Glavine #53. There are no errors to my knowledge, but the Diamond Kings have the "Donruss Learning Series" logo on the back of the card.

Have you stopped working on the 1991 Topps Desert Shield Braves set? I have picked up about 35 PSA 9s and 10s lately, but no Braves. There is a Glavine PSA 10 out there for sale, but IMHO I think the price is way too high.
