There is much talk about "offsets" when the administration gives their reasons for not extending the current tax structure, so I must assume that at some point, an "offset" will be proposed to increase taxes to make up for this particular proposal. The die was cast early on, and there is no reason to expect that their ideology is going to change at this juncture. I note that they haven't yet given up on the energy tax, and it's a biggie.

Stellar idea. Before we have no more production capabilities or industrial jobs left at all. I know, I know - the trade war boogieman is going to be sprung. Maybe it would be cathartic.
