sounds like he is trying to take advantage of ya. Until you get a scan, I would enjoy the cards he sent you.

  • Tell him its his choice... either take a scan of the package or a pic and scan it... then when you get it you will send his cards back... otherwise you wont send them back. If a package gets damaged by USPS then they put it in a bag which says something like sometimes things happen and sorry the package got damaged. Until you get a scan of something... and not just the card... the entire package then dont send his back.
    Just my thought
  • A little role reversal, huh brees?? Someone is actually doing this to YOU, the king of dumb stories, lost mail, and frauding?

  • Sean,

If you have the insurance slip, he will need to forward the card & the package it was contained in to you,you will need those items and a price guide to the postmaster showing the value of the card(s), You will be only reimbursed the value of the card not what you insured it for, In other words if it's a $50 card & you insured for $100 you'll get $50, Also some may not know, You can never get more than it's insured for & sometimes less as previously mentioned. Most Postmasters will call for a postal investigation where it could be 2-3 weeks before a refund is issued, If they side with you you'll receive a money order in your mail box. They do not pay you there. Unfortunately I've heard cases where they have found that they somehow weren't negligent & ruled in their own favor but never has happened in the 2 cases I've been involved in.
