Scariest team stats ever---MARINERS

Mickey71Mickey71 Posts: 4,254 ✭✭✭✭
I just looked up team stats for the entire major league and the Mariners are last in all of these categories---not just the A.L. but the entire major leagues.

Hits
Runs
Batting Average
Doubles
Home Runs
RBI's
On Base %
Slugging %

2nd Worst in Triples

These stats are amazing and tells there's no future for the Mariners in sight. They fired the coach and the GM should be next. I think the entire organization needs to be restructured.image

  • hmm. they suck giant monkey testicles to be sure.

Ichrio is a lousy leadoff hitter who doesnt walk very much. hurrah he is hitting .300 again. hurrah. No power, no big bats, no hope!
  • I don't get it. Seattle is one of the most desirable places to live in the USA. The stadium is one of the best in the major leagues. The team has tons of loyal fans. ANY GM with ANY skills should have no trouble bringing in talent.
Successful dealings with shootybabitt, LarryP, Doctor K, thedutymon, billsgridirongreats, fattymacs, shagrotn77, pclpads, JMDVM, gumbyfan, itzagoner, rexvos, al032184, gregm13, californiacards3, mccardguy1, BigDaddyBowman, bigreddog, bobbyw8469, burke23, detroitfan2, drewsef, jeff8877, markmac, Goldlabels, swartz1, blee1, EarlsWorld, gseaman25, kcballboy, jimrad, leadoff4, weinhold, Mphilking, milbroco, msassin, meteoriteguy, rbeaton and gameusedhoop.
  • Felix Hernandez continues to be amazing however. Just to be in the Cy Young conversation shows what a great job he's done for a lousy team.

    King Felix!

Whoa......1 ER in his last six games. Not bad. Best starting pitcher in BB?

You are pretty much correct that this is his least productive year, however, he is still the best on their team. The fault does not lie in the superstar who is underachieving, it lies in the guys in the linbeup who shouldn't even be on a major league roster.

There are like 4 guys who should not be on a major league roster. Chone Figgins is one of them. The catchers are terrible. Figgins will have alot to prove next spring training or he will be cut and they will have to eat that fairly handsome salary.--Although the Mariners have a track record of putting the guys who bat .200 out there night after night. Remember Jeff Cirillo...He used to make me sick he was so awful. I was at a Sonics game about 8 years ago and there was "boos" when he was walking around. I actually felt bad for him. He had to leave town.

And yes Felix is great and has no chance to win the Cy Young. History does not allow it. The only tiny chance he would have if Sabathia loses all his starts and Felix wins all his starts and brings the ERA near 2.00. Problem is Bucholz has a better ERA and Win % also.//////////////It all comes down to "not a great year to be a Mariner pitcher when the team is a AA offensive club."
  • Fire everyone! Pat Gillick was a big loss. Ever since then have been making the worst signings in baseball.
Seattle had talent comign up through the farm system and the budget to get some players. All ruined by the front office idiots.

    Way to stay consistant.
Felix throws a 2 hitter and gives up 1 run and loses.image

And his run support has been a joke. Something like 7 runs in 10 of his losses. Unbelievable!
