Jim Thome cards....

He is one of the few great power hitters of the past 2 decades NOT linked to steroids, and his career OBP ranks among the all-time greats. Do you guys agree that his 1992 Topps regular Gold card, being produced in somewhat limited quantities, would be his "best" early card?

I agree on Thome. Problem is, he doesn't have a really good card.
His few '91 RC's were way overproduced (Bowman and UD Final Ed)
There haven't been many 92 Topps Gold graded yet but there are tons out there. If prices on those cards ever start to rise, you'll see the pop report immediately jump by a few hundred, and they will all be PSA 9-10.
I'd go instead with his 92 Leaf Black parallel, fewer were made and it will have more condition issues (centering and chipping), making it ultimately more desirable.

I have a 1992 Upper Deck Gold BGS 9.5 pop 1. I am thinking that this Gold card would be the hardest to find and maybe the most valuable. Here is a list of the contenders, imo,:

    1) 1992 Upper Deck Gold
    2) 1992 Leaf black gold
    3) 1992 Topps gold
    4) 1991 Bowman
    5) 1991 Upper deck FE
    6) 1992 Bowman

Maybe not exactly in that order, but somewhere in the mix. Let's here some opinions.image
Work hard and you will succeed!!
