Question on grading and re-flipping

I don't grade (or at least haven't yet) but I enjoy reading about the finds and shows that some of you hit looking for vintage. Can you make decent money looking for vintage, grading it and then reselling it? Or are you guys just looking to find nice raw cards for your PC after they have been graded?

  • You can do very well doing that, but you have to have patience and alot of knowledge of the grading process. I have not done it in a while but I found it was usually more profitable to find nice mid-grade stuff cheap on Ebay or other places and grade it for a flip. Quality high grade stuff is usually either already graded or is ungradeable. If not the price usually goes along with it
  • Don't look to grade low value raws and re-flipping. You lose money. I speak from experience. image
  • If you re-flip something something, does that mean you sell it twice?

If you can re-flip a card...can you pre-flip one also?

If you re-flip something, someone else flipped, is a re-re-flip?
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
