What is the best way to get rid of cards from the 70's.

I read a lot on the board about the over production of card from the 1980's on. My collecting years were from 1974 until 1982 and I would like to unload a lot of the cards from those years. Are those years considered any more desirable than the 80's. Any advice on the best way to package these cards for sale would be appreciated.

honestly just donate them to the Boy Scouts
  • 1974-80 and maybe even 81 and 82 you could probably sell here on the BST board if you put them in large lots.

If you post them for sale on the Buy/Sell/Trade boards, you will get some offers for sure.
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!

    Send them all to me.image
  • if they are in decent shape im interested in the 74's and 78's
  • You can sell them here on the BST board, easily if they are high grade. I'd hate to see you burn a bunch of 75's up because some people here think Pre-1970 is the only way to make money.

If they are in near mint condition you can sell them. However, if they are not in really nice condition I doubt you will get much. Everybody has their threshold of what time/return but for me it would not be worth it to sell mid-grade commons from the 70's.
  • Yup, it really depends on condition. If they are near mint or better, it will likely be worth the effort to sell them (particularly the ones from '74-'78). If not, they are pretty much worthless.

Unless they are completely trashed there are buyers for low/mid grade cards even into the 70's (myself included) as long as the price is right.
