Nice centering, but the bottom 2 corners keep that a 4 - IMO.
    Great card.

    Back is relatively clean.
  • Bob,
No, don't think you could even squeeze out 4.5+.

Thanks so far - keep 'em coming.

I know corners a little soft but I thought the outstanding color, centering and registration (usually kinda bad on the leafs) may warrant a 4.5.

Bob ... eye appeal is AMAZING! But the bottom 2 corners are quite rounded and top right corner looks like it has a fold in it. I really can't tell you what the difference is between a 4 and a 4.5. My guess is on cards in lower grade, one day it could be a 3.5, the next day a 4 and the next grader might bump it to a 4.5. Maybe someone here knows what PSA would base it on. What's the price difference? And the difference between a 3.5 and a 4? Maybe just send it in for a review? (Although we all know what those chance are!) GOOD LUCK.

Basically VCP for the average 4 is around $750, and $850 for a 4.5.

Just paid 4.5 $$ for it. I'll be perfectly happy with it in its present holder, but I think it will be making a trip out west at some time. Most 4's I've seen are off center, full of printing defects, or creased/wrinkled. I thought this one warranted more than the VCP average for the grade.

I would vote no. Nice card though. Good luck. Bobby

If you ever sold it you could probably get the equivalent of whatever a PSA 4.5 might bring for the color, centering etc.

BTW is it just me or does it seem that PSA 8s of '48 Leaf are usually never well-centered but the mid-grades always are?

    Bob,

I look at that card and to me it screams 4.5.
I agree that the eye appeal and centering warrant the bump!

Eye a appeal is beautiful. Has a shot.

Not trying to sound crazy------Why bother reviewing this card? It has great eye appeal no matter what the grade. Also, it will cost you like $35 plus over $20 shipping plus the shipping to PSA. About $65 total. I would buy this type of card just to keep for my collection.

Either way- very nice card Bob.image

I agree. It's a beauty as is and I don't see much point in trying for the bump. Fantastic card! That is the type of card that I look for in my collection, low to mid grade with fantastic eye appeal!
