"Ain't:" no big thang. Usually less than a buck over spot and you're striking them depending on the quantity you are striking. Dies cost differ depending on who is doing the work. I used a fellow named Hermke Timm in Chicago many years ago ( Alpha Die Engraving ) who did fabulous work. About 1200 bucks for one size of dies.

    There's some costs.

    I'm not commenting otherwise......yet.

Heck, I'd prolly buy a few of these silver 1 ozers if I thought it would actually help to end the Fed.

They call it a "coin" project.
    Makes me question their competence.

They also claim to use the funds to "educate".

Once you're chosen to get screwed over on these things you will have hopefully learned something by it.

They are on youtube also as end the fed coin project.

Cool. Just so long as you don't turn into a stalker image

    PS:
I was commissioned to do some "End the Fed" rounds in copper & silver.
The dies are done and I'll be minting them next week. Freedom Mint sells them.
They sell them as a fundraiser for RestoreTheRepublic.com.
Here is what the reverse side looks like:
    image
It is paired with several obverses: Liberty, Ron Paul, Aaron Russo, G. Edward Griffin,
Alex Jones, Robert Schulz, Edwin Vieira.

    RestoreTheRepublic.com

I put myself on their mailing list and then took myself back off. It seems as though they were always out of stock, the longer that went on, I began to struggle with their pricing. Nice designs, tho.

No thanks. I'll stick with Johnson-Matthey, Engelhard, etc.

For an interesting vignette on the secret meeting at Jekyll Island that ultimately resulted in the creation of the Fed, read "Lords of Finance" by Liaquat Ahamed. The book is a fascinating history of the state of economics before, during and after World War I and through the Roaring '20s to the debacle of the Great Depression.

Lot of good stuff about gold, and an explanation of why Germany went into hyper-inflation during 1922-23.

  • It is just as easy to make your "end the fed" statement by buying the J&M and Engelhard. I concur with the above poster.
