I have a Question

If you send in a 1970 coin is it considered a pre1970 or a post 1970

A 1970 is "post 1970" or Modern for price purposes.

    Direct from the submission page:

    Modern Service $10/coin
For any U.S. coins dated from 1970 to the present.

But never take anything for granted as that quote comes from the paid member price list. The silver, or free member list has prices for pre-1970 and post-1970. So that basically means that 1970 coins don't count! Besides, PCGS said the 20th century ended at the end of 1999 and to "Deal with it!". So best bet is to call them and ask. Probably better to call several times and talk to several people, you know, take a poll. Then tally them up and do the opposite of what the consensus was!

Sorry, I'm not even a Type Setter but couldn't resistimage

Seriously, I would go with the 1970 being considered modern service. Dave
