Mickey Mantle Autographed baseball (JSA Certified)

Like the title says, I'm hoping to sell a Mickey Mantle autographed baseball. The ball is in awesome condition with very minor toning, and the signature is in excellent condition.

I've had this ball for a LONG time, but I really need to sell it now that my school loans have kicked in. This is the ONLY reason I have to sell, and is the sole reason for selling it so cheap.

I had this posted on the site about a month ago for $400, I haven't had much interest/offers so I AM LOWERING THE PRICE SUBSTANTIALLY.

Right now I am willing to take $200 plus shipping and paypal fees for this ball. This is the LOWEST you will ever see a Mickey Mantle ball in this condition, and is an unbeleivable opportunity to pick up ball of this caliber for so cheap. It's also a great chance to make some extra cash if you have time and resorces to list this on ebay. A ball like this usually goes for $400 to $900.

Please let me know if anyone has ANY questions/offers. I have tons of pictures, but my files are too large to upload supposedly..... I can email them to you upon reqest.

With possible student aid coming in the next year or two (?) (likely not to former students...but who knows), and it being a low interest loan, perhaps it is best to wait on paying Student Loans?

A low interest account would likely make more then you would make up?

Selling that ball to help pay your loans is like throwing a dart to stop a moving car. That $200 might help 1 payment, but your going to be in trouble again next month again. Keep the ball, find another way to pay the loans.

  • Yes, if you are that broke, you could try to ask for deferment.
  • I know it's only $200, but at least it's something. I just sold my Ted Williams ball, and am in the process of selling whatever else I can to help me out. Also, I do not qualify for deferment because I have a part-time job.....

    What causes toning like that?

I had signed baseballs displayed for 20 plus years. after all that time some looked great, like brand new and others looked like that Mick ball. all were displayed in the same manner and with equal light
  • Thanks for posting the picture. As for the toning, I'm really not sure. The ball has been very well taken care of, it just happens over time. From what I understand, it is due to some type of change in the material used to produce the ball in certain years??

Nevertheless, the signature is in great condition....

May or may not apply to the subject ball.

"Beware of the 1984-1990 baseballs carrying the signature of AL President Bobby Brown. The baseballs with “Haiti” placed under the Rawlings logo stamp were made without using distilled water that has permitted enzymes to potentially change the color of the ball as time passes. These balls often contain a yellowish-brown color."
