Coinincidence that his feedback is 311 just like the card number????

  • Here's that legit Cert #. It sold in an auction in 2008:

Unfortunately this is what happens when people choose to display their cards with the cert numbers showing. They should all be blocked out. Wouldn't solve the problem, but it would help.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
  • I just sent an email to the owner of the card (the second link I posted) asking if he is currently selling his card (slightly rhetorical question).

  • The difference I noticed in the flip is the spacing between the 7 (NM 7) and the red border appears different in both pics.

  • If the bar code is correct PSA or somebody with a scanner can scan the bar code to find out what the card was actually graded and also who submitted the card. Doesn't mean the person who submitted the card is at fault but could start tracing the sale right to the person who forged the cert. You follow me ?

  • I missed that. I glanced at the bar code, apparently from R to L. As it appeared to be the same at a glance. But upon closer inspection, the 1st set of lines is thin on the original and thick on the ebay one....

    Cards have different borders....

  • 1. if you can't provide a better scan/pic of a 25,000+ card then the one this guy has sorry no bids here.
    2. your feedback better be like 3,110 or 31,100 before I bid.
    3. a state that allows the death penalty or at least 10-20 yr life sentence for selling bogus cards.
    4. shipping better be O/N with insurance, I mean what kind of insurance do you get for 6.95 priority mail and est. delivery is 7 to 8 days
    5. you better accept returns.
    6. I hope someone has reported this to ebay.
    7. if I ever buy a 52 Mantle it will be in person not ebay.
