    Thanks all. I was told a very interesting story about how this small hoard of toned 1928 SLQ's came to be.

    I'm glad you mentioned the hoard of these because I have seen a relatively lange number of this date with similar toning over the years.

    Me too all in NGC MS66 or MS67 plastic.

    I was told that A group of 12 coins came in from the same source. seems the coins, all 1928's were put in the shape of a clock in 1928 as an anniversary gift. They stayed in this holder for quite some time and were sold as is to a dealer.

    This person told me that almost all of them graded 67 and that one or two got full head.

    That jives with what I vaguely recall having heard years ago. I think that Delaware Valley was the dealer who acquired the group, intact. I have handled 3 or 4 different ones, seen a few others and my recollection is that there are more MS66's than 67's. Either way, each example is quickly identifiable as having originated with that highly distinctive group.
