I am new when it comes to PSA so I have a question

I am very interested in purchasing a card, but it is graded as "Authentic". Upon contacting the seller as to why it is listed as authentic as opposed to PSA1, he pointed out that it had writing on it which had been poorly erased. My question is: does this automatically constitute a grade as "authentic" or would they possibly grade it as PSA1 with the MK qualifier? If the writing on the card has been altered in any way in order to try to eliminate said writing, does that automatically determine the card as authentic as opposed to a low grade with a qualifier? I certainly hope that I've made sense because I am confusing myself while writing this. Attached is a photograph of the writing. If I were to purchase this card and be able to receive a PSA1 MK as opposed to to the "authentic" grade, I am going to jump on top of this!
In short, is it possible to receive a numerical grade on a card designated as "authentic" due to there being a poorly erased pencil/pen mark? Thank you very much for any responses.

I know that I am talking in circles here, but do you think that I might be able to get a MK qualifier? Thanks!

I have seen Auth. cards that have the eye appeal of an NM card.
