that Mantle is insane!! Where was that card for 50 something years before it got graded?

I've recently opened a few packs and boxes from 1980, and maybe 1 out of every 7-8 cards could POSSIBLY have a shot at a 10, right out of the packs!

It blows my mind that a card 30 years older could remain in such great condition.

Wow, fantastic cards, if they were mine I wouldn't want 500 flash bulbs a day hitting the cards though....

I don't mind the flash bulbs. I only loaned my PSA 10 Mantle to the HOF for a few months.

I would hope, HOPE, that the glass protects them from the flashes.

Honestly, you would be surprised that not too many people paid a lot of attention to the cards. There wasn't a big write up next to the display case with a big story of value and rarity.

The type was hard to see and most people ran to the other side of the room to take pictures of the modern team lockers.

I was kind of explained the rarity of the cards to everyone around me and not many seems to care under the age of 50
