1954 Franklin Bugs Bunny?

I believe this is but have never seen one in hand before. It is not as obvious as the 55 thats for sure. Are there other characteristics to look for?

There are Bugs Bunny die clashes for most of the P Mint Franklins and at least two or three of the D mint coins.
PCGS has the following required for their complete variety registry:

    1949 Bugs Bunny FS-401 3.00
    1951 Bugs Bunny FS-401 3.00
    1952 Bugs Bunny FS-401 3.00
    1953 Bugs Bunny FS-401 5.00
    1953-D Bugs Bunny FS-401 5.00
    1954 Bugs Bunny FS-401 3.00
    1954-D Bugs Bunny FS-401 5.00
    1955 Bugs Bunny FS-401 3.00
    1956 Bugs Bunny FS-401 2.00

Your photo does not scream bugs bunny to me but perhaps its just the lighting.

As for characteristics, I just look for danged near anything on the lips or out of the nose which doesn't belong there but you have to be able to clearly see them.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
  • That is a BB Brian, but not stong enuff for PCGS to designate.

Follow the link in my sig line to see a pic of what you need to get the designation.

  • Nice close up examples. Thanks Bushmaster
  • Like bushmaster said it's a Bugs but it doesn't look strong enough for PCGS to designate

Lee, PCGS has just graded a 1959 Bugs in MS62FBL that will likely be added to the set also. Here's a '63 Bugs I just purchased. I'm going to try to get this in a PCGS holder as well. We're getting close to a complete Bugs Bunny date set!
