its gotten to the point......



I know I will hear, buy the card not the holder and all the other cliches, but.... Its to the point where I only look/buy cards graded before the half grade flip. Since then for the most part, the grading quality leaves much to be desired.
In the USA all men are created equal but some are more equal than others....

    back it up, let's see some examples. And do you believe they have changed their graders, or they just all of a sudden now can't grade?

    Maybe the old graders became the new slabbers on label change day?
    Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
    Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

    I've seen the exact opposite. Seems like most times I see a 9 that is O/C it's in a pre-half grade slab.
    And from my own experience subbing, it is tougher getting 9s than before. I've found that prior weak 9s are now 8.5 and I guess that's how it should be.
    I'm more comfortable buying recently graded cards.

    That's the way I saw it, for the most part.
