Thanks to the folks on the US Coin Forum for identifying this for me. It's part of the keepers from the most recent box of halves I searched. It appears to be somewhere in the XF - AU range with plenty of luster. The frontal pic is much uglier than the coin in hand - the dark areas on the portrait are just rubs - I don't know why they show so dark in the photo. Anyway error guys, $25 gets it delivered to you.
