c'mon PSA, really?

Gotta love the consistency of holdering the same exact card.

I get 4 cards back in these pack holders instead of the standard slab, which they obviously fit in. And they are so loose in the pack slabs that they are rattling around.

What are the chances I send these back in as a mech error?

That's a new policy at PSA.

All PSA 10's will now be put in the pack holder, to bring added prestige to them.

I don't think I like the 10 idea either. Was this discussed with their customer base before a decision was made?? seems like the card could slide around more in the bigger holder.

Not sure what happened here. I just hope my sub does not come back with the pack holders.

I am afraid to send in some Baseball 2007 Bowman's Best cards. I read some where they do the same with those cards as well...

I sent in an '07 Bowman's Best blue Griffey and it came back in a regular holder

Here is a pair that I have. When I send in a card that is a little thicker with regular cards I have a 50/50 shot of PSA putting my submission on hold. When I call they say that the patch card is too thick and has to be in a separate submission because the card needs to go in a larger holder then they charge me an additional $16.95 shipping for the separate submission. If PSA can not decide which holder to put the card in then how am I suppose to know which need to go on a separate submission?

There you go, the bottom line, all about the $$ for PSA.

Here is the example that I was talking about with that issue.

    From this thread.

I don't get it why do those slabs have to be so huge cant they just
make a regular sized slab but with different thickness. Those pack slab
look like something Forest Gump would collect.

Also I would have to say when it come to selling cards in those pack slabs
that buyers don't like them and sale prices are lower. The cheapest
Frank Thomas PSA 10 cards I had won were in those retard holders.

Of course they could make a smaller slab to fit thicker cards but it is cheaper for PSA to use the pack slabs on the thick cards. I guess eventually they will get a smaller slab for the thick cards then they will make a fortune when we send in all our giant slabs to get re-slabbed.

Well there not gonig to be get anymore of my money on thicker cards. I have about
200 plus thick Frank Thomas cards for my personal collection that will stay ungraded tell
the end of time before I pay to put them in those retard slabs.

  • I think they are recognizing that SGC has a much nicer looking holder than they do and perhaps are trying to compensate image
