That is a beautiful coin. The pickup points are there. But ignoring those, just the toning outlining the bottom edge of the wings show that it is unquestionably a variety 2 (or as Walter Breen renamed it - type .
I remember going through a hundred dollar groups of quarters in the early sixties. I would see a few that looked like this. I would excitely take a closer look because they were different. Alas, I would see they were very woirn and not worthy of further thought. A blast white coin willl not jump out at you. It was a shame I didn't know anything about them then.
congrats on finding a b type looks good to me, went thu 4 rolls of mom and dads 1964 and still cannot find a b type, did send in a C type to get graded this week enjoy your search.........
That's a nice coin. None of the uncirculated ones I've found have had any toning whatsoever- I'd love to find one with toning like yours!
