UK Royal Armouries Medal, any information?

I have had this medal since the 1970's.
Does anyone have any information about it?

It is about the size of a US silver dollar (38mm) and may be silver or imitation silver.

No idea, but it looks to be from the 1960s or 1970s, to judge by its style.

Some kind of Tower of London souvenir, perhaps?

I visited London in the fall of 1971, so it is probably a souvenir that I picked up there.
