53 & 49s franklins ; which ones would you keep ?

i like all of these halves about the same, i'm going to keep one each for my franklin set. which 53 and 49s would you keep for your collection ?

Very nice coins all. If they are already yours and they are paid for, they don't cost you anything and they don't eat anything, keep them all and decide at your leisure. Any of the 4 is too nice to get let go. You are getting advice from someone that has never sold a coin. Once it's mine, it's mine.

Those are some nice looking Franklins you have there! I agree with Melvin that I'd keep them all if possible. That first '53 is very cool looking!

Make sure you check the 53 halves for a Bugs and the '49-S for the RPM in the CPG. Both are worth a nice premium.

The toning on the first '53 IMO could go either way, e.g. AT/NT. I'd need to see it in hand, but at this remove I'd be leery. Also, with that toning it's hard to tell how much it has in the way of nicks etc. The second '53 appears to be quite clean on the obverse and has good underlying luster. The first coin appears to have more ticks on the reverse but better bell lines than the second.

I prefer the first '49-S.

the 53 with the wild toning came form an original 53 mint set. every coin in the p mint board was toned like the half , the toned side on each coin was facing down in the mint board. i guess this explains the unsual toing ? very cool !
