Memory Lane prices...what do you think

What do you all think of the status of the hobby based on Memory lane and recent auction prices.

The 1952 Topps Mantle PSA 8.5, and the 1952 topps unopened pack always will demand high prices,
but did anyone get good bargains on the rest of the auction?

There were plenty of bargains in this auction based upon final prices. However, that doesn't mean they would've been won for the next bid. Several examples were weak for the grade, but still went below recent history.

It did seem that many lots went for lower than normal amounts.

  • I was looking at some of the vending boxes. What do you guys think about...

1968/69 Topps hockey vending box. $5,360?

1976/77 Topps basketball (only 144 card set). 500 card vending box for $1,000? About 3 1/3 sets. $300 a set?

The Mike Ditka rookie was pretty sweet. And that OPC Fisk rookie Gem Mint 10. Some cards you don't see everyday.

How about the Yount rookie for $20k+.
That card will be worth a quarter of that once more 10's appear.
