Why so long to hire Showalter....

Why did the Orioles not do this sooner, how long will the joyfest last? Felt they had some talent, but sucks to be in their division. Hopefully better times ahead, at least until he wears out his welcome and players tune him out, which seems to happen around year three. Maybe he has gotten wiser with age.
