Anyone on here ever deal with Jim Manos?

I have the opportunity to buy some vintage cards from Jim Manos and I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with him before? He is from Ohio and seems like a really nice guy but if anyone has dealt with him please let me know how the experience was. Thanks

I don't think I have ever had a problem with any collector in Ohio...and there are a lot of collectors there (and even more antique shops I think).

Not of course saying the whole state is good people....but the majority appear to be. If he seems like a nice guy, and appears to have card knowledge, I would trust him.

Edit to add: I am a Carl Jung-ite....or maybe a Carl Jung-er...hmmm...Carl Jungollo? No that sounds worse.

I bought a 1969 Topps private issue Bowie Kuhn autographed from Jim Manos. Price was high but they don't come up for sale too often. He was friendly, responsive to emails and fast shipping. Card and autograph were later authenticated by PSA and PSA/DNA and all went well. Overall a good experience and I'd deal with him again if he had something I needed.

  • I would not worry about buying anything from Jim. He's always on the Net 54 boards and I've spoken with him and made a few deals with him before.

I bought a card from him (from a Net54 sale posting) a couple years ago. It arrived quickly and well-packaged.

I have sold more to Jim, than Ive bought. Never a problem, like others said he is on Net54 all the time.
