Topps MCG LIST ON 1st page - 1985 Topps Fred Lynn to...

Hey Everyone,

I'm starting a small project and trying to get a 1952 Topps card starting with a 1985 Topps Fred Lynn.

So far I have made these trades

1985 Topps Fred Lynn > 1985 Topps Gary Carter All-Star
1985 Topps Gary Carter All-Star > 1982 Topps Gary Carter All-Star

I will attempt to trade for a card slightly higher in value and a year older previous to the current card I have.

If anyone is interested in the Carter please let me know.

Thanks,
Ryan

Good luck man - I'll bet you pull it off

just the other day, I was offered a 1956 Yankee for my 1975 Red Sox team card.
I then traded that and a 58 common for a 1956 Red Sox team card

The unredeemed cards just continue to go up on eBay. They were about $1 each at the start and are now hitting about $4 each...even in lots.

Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.

I've gotton one Million Dollar card and got a 1969 Washington Senators player. Have tried trading it down a couple years with the thought of doing what you are doing....but it appears too much time for me. Is there anyway for me to give you the card without giving you my account with password?

I traded the checklists it tooke about 5 trades to take the 1998 checklist back to a 1982 checklist. I then traded to a regular player and traded back 2 years at a time (trading populer teams, when I got to 1970 I just worried about trading back 1 year at a time to 1953. This was very early in the contest before the site was working well. About a month after I did all that trading and the contests were announced it was a lot easier to trade, because of contest cards.

At the time I was making the trades I stuck to the theory of only acquiring the most popular teams. Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, Giants. I would just offer my card for EVERY card in the prior set that wasn't a star and met that criteria.
