    And so, on a day the dow jones drops 265 points with concern over the double dip, the Duckor collection of Barber halves makes history.

    Just for giggles I'm curious as to how his 67+ CAC 1907-d made out. That was purchased out of Dale Friend's set at 2009 FUN for a record $52K or so and in my mind was the most incredible condition/eye appealing coin in Dale's set. In the current catalog Dr. Duckor indicated that was one of his favorite pieces as well.

    The bidding this time however would have Dr. Duckor on the sideline giving an indication of how deep the top pop collectors are in this series right now.

    Edit: wow, only $29,900. One less bidder made a huge difference here.

    Top price - 1904-s at $138K followed closely by the 1905 in MS68 at $132k. 3rd place

    Over $50K included the 92-0 micro o,95-0,95-s,96-s,00-s,01-0,01-s ($86K),04,05-0,07.

    Just looking at these colorful photos again gave me goose bumps.

    I was in attendence at the Platinum auction. 37 out of 74 of the Duckor MS lots set all-time records..................David Hall even bought a couple or three...................MJ

    I was there last night and the Duckor Halves sold well,
    some for less than expected and some hit all time high records.

    I was expecting the 1892-O Micro O to bring in more than it did.
    Its a very nice coin and knowing what the Shireman coin sold for
    a couple of years, I though the Duckor coin would sell for $25K more
    than it did.

    Congratulations are certainly in order for Dr. & Mrs. Duckor.
