I know that you collect Dassier medals and was wondering about one I have. It is the one depicting William the II. I am ready to sell it, but I am getting conflicting prices via Ebay and an auction result I found in Coin Archives.

The first question I have is this a fluke or are these medals selling for this kind of money?

Secondly, is my medal a restrike or is it original? Thanks! -Dan

I am seeing differences in my medal and the one which sold in the auction. I guess you have to wonder why someone would go to the trouble of making such a good copy? Or were there more than one die?
