Stephen Strasburg Cards

After the initial explosion it was obvious his cards would pull back some.
Anyone who follows his cards know how much they have pulled back? Have they collapsed yet?
Just curious. Thanks

Just check out his profile. I think you'll see what I'm talking about.
I realize you can't help yourself.
I just don't think modern day cards will be able to hold their value like some and was just curious how much they have tanked. I personally think the idea of creating all of these 1 of 1 cards longer term does nothing. The guy from Beckett ran some thread that said there were like 30,000 1 of 1 cards. That is not rare. It is artificialy rare.
The people on this board that collect the real vintage stuff, that is rare.
Are they down 50% yet from the peak? 80%???
He was an Internet stock. Longer term he should be down at least 80% from the peak if not more.

Uggla and Ramirez seemed to know what was coming.
Joe
The colored-border refractors and limited A&G cards are still holding some value, but the regular refractors, chromes, etc., have fallen to Earth.
I still think he has tons of upside, but if the Nats don't baby him for a couple years, he'll break down for good...

Strasburg's 2 injuries are just typical fatigue injuries. He's thrown more pitches this year than any other year in his life. They will shut him down for the season but still let him throw on the side. He will have his first full year of major league off season strength training and be fine.

Sounds like some sort of denial, Bill. Not heavily invested in the young man, are ya?
Looking for Charlie (Charley) Maxwell cards.

I rode the Stras wave then jumped off just in the nick of time.

You should buy as many as you can immediately, post links to the auctions and then boast about paying atrociously exorbitant prices for them.
Things are getting a bit slow around here and we need to pick it up a bit.
In addition, Orlando is the official craphole of Florida. Every d'bag in the Southeast has tried to run a scam there at some point.
What's yours? Health insurance? Real estate investment? Mail order catheters? Boy bands?
it's not a pitcher, it's an investment.....i'm surprised they don't send a crew out to dust him off between innings, so he stays as shiny in real life as he does on his cardboard.
the guys we fawn over, the Heroes of the Game from when it was, drove themselves to the edge of a cliff and beyond BECAUSE they wanted that cash.
now, the organizations and players know that to prolong ones career, one must recognize when it is time to shut it down until it gets better, and there's a plethora of evidence and experts to back this up.....so what if he gets babied, maybe he won't be ruined then and all the card hogs can rejoice.
Strasburgs problem isn't about getting hurt or being coddled....his problem is, he plays for Washington.
I have lived in Orlando my whole life. You can call it whatever you want some of us really like it here.
I did pull a Sig Hansen mail away card. I should have just put it for sale but now I have to wait until October to get the redemption card.
I was afraid this might happen to this kid with all the hype. I can not imagine what goes through a 20 year old guys head when he knows grown men are shelling out thousands of dollars for his face on a piece of cardboard. That is a lot of pressure and big shoes to fill.
If he does not recover soon I would suspect the prices of his cards have a huge amount more to fall.
I don't own any so I am just a spectater.

Maybe if you read the whole thread, mainly my responses, you could answer your own question.
