OFFICAL 2010 Kentucky Wildcats quest for a better bowl game

Well folks, it's approaching that time of year again when everybody here is ready for some FOOTBALL!! Now Kentucky has had much success in the fact that we've been in four straight bowl games and won three. Pretty impressive accomplishment for a team that traditionally has been the laughing stock of the SEC football wise. But still, I think we can now set our sights a little higher in the first year of the Joker Phillips Administration and see if we can get into an even better bowl game as well as FINALLY take out Tennessee after coming so close too many times recently. Now, I skimmed through some of the college football magazines and they all have us picked to finish next to last in our division. But you know what, you still gotta play the games and I'm hoping this year we can surprise some people.

Good to see that UK has decided to schedule the tough out of conference schedule this year.

I see a 4 or 5 win season for the Wildcats, it's a good thing they do have those weak out of conference games or it could be really ugly.

That run of games that starts with Florida and ends with Mississippi State could be a very bad stretch of games, and I can see them losing every one if they don't stay focused and shake off the losses.

It's kinda unfortunate for football teams like Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, etc.. cause they would all be considered strong teams if placed in other conferences, and likely would be perennial bowl teams as well.

Well I'd say our fourth straight win against LOSERville got us off to a good start! And we got a couple tuneups before we go for the major shocker of the season.

And we did indeed have no trouble getting off to a solid 3-0 start!

Now if only Florida this Saturday was that easy... But that's okay, upsets can happen anytime

Well, we came close to making quick work of them... Close...

And on top of that, your team lost your #1 ranking too. I guess it's a sad day for both of us; but perhaps we can beat South Carolina for ya?

And we did indeed do just that!! I tell ya, when we were down 10-28, it looked like we were just about done for and heading for a fourth straight loss--but then South Carolina went eh, South in the second half and just choked! Unfortunately we didn't get to see the celebration because ESPN2 cut right into the next game but still, that was our first win against ANY ranked opponent since our magical upset of #1 ranked (and later National Champion) LSU in 2007.

Unfortunately, we don't have any more ranked opponents coming up for any more upsets, though there is still that little matter of ending our embarrassing losing streak against Tennessee. But if we keep winning, perhaps we can finally get into a GOOD bowl game for a change.
