My journey into 1963 Fleer and a Coca Cola item took me back!

It's hard to compete with National stuff - but here's what I 'didn't pick up at the National'
First - as some may know - I've been searching - slowly - for well centered 63F cards for my set - I started this set in 2004 - I'm now at 87%.
I've waited for some time to find this card centered - it was a BIN - so I paid 10 bucks more than I wanted - but the centering was worth it:

Now to the other item - did ya ever see somethin and have it take ya way, way back?
It’s 1958, I’ve got a quarter and I head to the candy store up on Union Turnpike and Main St.
I jump up on the stool and ask Ed behind the counter to give me a coke with cherry syrup and I take 2 pretzel sticks out of the holder – I’m up to 14 cents – so I grab a pack of Topps – reposition myself – sip on my coke with extra cherry syrup – and open the pack.
What I take for granted – since they’re permanent iconic “fixtures” – staring me in the face – is the large Coke tap machine and the “drink coke” clock on the shelf in front of the large mirror.
It’s now 2010 – I accidentally fall upon a clock similar if not the same as I remember when I was a child. I get really excited! I call Mary over – and tell her – “I’ve got to have this!”
I go to Barnes and Noble and check in a Coke reference catalog on items like this.
It arrived today!!!! A 50's era Coca Cola Sign/Clock - made of brass and fully functional!
It will be somewhere of prominence in the room!

It's about 22" wide and can be shelved or suspended from wires. It's cool that the clock still works also.
Now, I know there's others out there that have come across something that just transported ya back to...well let's just say - perhaps - a simpler time in ones life?

Great to see you found an item that brings you back to your childhood. Enjoy it.
BTW ... did the 1958 nickle wax pack come with the Coke sign???

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

It took me years to find a centered copy for the set - I will trade a kidney for something tho.

<< <i>Mike, did you grow up in Queens NY? >>
Sure did - Kew Gardens Hills - only 1 square mile but a great place to live as a kid in the 50s.
Notables that lived in my area - Fran Dresher, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkle, Bob Dylan, Martin Landau, Michael Landon.
It only exists if ya can share.
