How much does the National delay loggage/grading? W/ a contest - Jmhockey23 is the winner!

Just curious - my order was received 8/2/10, and still no loggage which is about as long as I've seen. 51 or 52 cards is all that were subbed - nothing fancy.

Either way, in honor of what is sure to be a timely grading turnaround, I will be offering a prize for whoever correctly identifies the number of calendar days between today (not loggage) and sweet, sweet poppage. Figure the unknown loggage date will make it interesting. Prize is TBD (probably $20-$30 - modern card), but I will let the winner pick from a list of a few cards. Fire away with some guesses - I will try to get a running list so we don't have duplicate guesses.

Contest Guesses:
8/12 - ShootyBabitt
8/13 - mbothner
8/17 - Jmhockey23
8/18 - jeffcbay
8/19 - meteoriteguy
8/20 - Akbarclone
8/23 - byronscott4ever
8/24 - jimrad
8/25 - mlbfan2
8/26 - hhmag
8/27 - illinifan912
8/28 - diamondman
8/30 - pdub1819
9/1 - Dboneesq
9/2 - artistlost
9/3 - bhelser
9/7 - pswebauctions
9/10 - RookieWax
9/22 - drewsef
10/1 - clayshooter22

May the best (and soonest?) guess win!

  • Along the same lines, how long do you think it will be before we can add cards to the regristry that were graded (and picked up) at the National. As of today, the cards can't be added.

It took 3-4 weeks for my onsite psa/dna stuff to pop...hopefully cards pop quicker than that.

I've had stuff pop within 2-3 days of grading at a show for registry entry. They're usually are on the ball on those newly graded entries.

I mailed in a 90 card submission on the 30th of July that hasn't shown up yet in their records....guess the national had an impact on their record keeping....doesn't surprise me, I'd guess that they are relatively shorthanded when the National occurs. Now they need to ketsup!!!!image

Question - Do these cards already have spec numbers, meaning has anyone submitted these cards before you?

Ok - first post updated will all the guesses. And some good news - cards logged this afternoon, so that's exciting (for me anyway...and hookem and artistlost).
Will start combing through cards as possible prizes.
