Back from the National Show

My son and I went on Wednesday Thursday and Friday...My ten year old had a blast! He picked up a sweet 1969 topps Aaron raw and a signed 2008 all star baseball. I sold some cards at my friends table and was able to find a few Bazooka boxes and a cool Brooks Robinson advertising piece for Koolan head bands. I also bought my first booble head-1960s Orioles Bird (white base). I collect Brooks Robinson cards and I was able to hold the 1961 dice game card of Brooks along with seeing a 1972 candy lid. I also saw a old Rawlings poster of Brooks-this was new to me. The show was a lot of fun and I met a Brooks collector on my way out...we are going to do some trading soon.....come to find out he is/was my ebay rival.....My son loved seeing the T 206 Wagner !
We also went to the O's game friday night! I got my 80 year old dad to go to the game and the card show friday..three generations -that is what it is all about.....(by the way my old man didnt even buy me a pack of cards like the old days and he wanted his change back when I got him a Boogs BBQ sandwich)

Wish I could have been there this year. I can't wait to have a little squirt running around so I can make it a family event too. I'm all alone in the hobby right now.

Good luck with the trades with your fellow BR collector.
