    looks like one of those 18th century german jettons-- the smaller thin modules but with a lot of nice detail

    It is very thin.

    I got some direction from a poster on another coin forum...link.

    What looks like a H mintmark may be just what he's shown, a JL. I'd be interested though, to find another like it or some information on the year that it was struck.
