Psychology is bound to creep in occasionally, if not as prejudice or preference for one type of coin over another, then maybe because one grader might know more about a certain series than another. Someone who is grading within his own specialty might grade quite differently than your average "generalist" grader.
But I guess that's why the third-party grading process is designed to have more than one person viewing the coin. It should all average out in the end, if things work as they're supposed to.
