I went to the National today..................

On a kind of spur of the moment thought, I made it to the National today. My wife and daughter went shopping around Inner Harbor while me and my son went to the show. We cancelled our previous plans on Friday. It was awesome! What a freakin great day! I did not buy much of anything, just a few early 70's hockey commons for my sets.
While walking around, we stopped at a table that had a lot of game worn jersey's. The booth owner was Joseph Tomon Jr. and he had a Sidney Crosby game worn jersey on the table. My son who is 9, is a big Crosby fan and really liked the jersey. The gentlemen asked if I had a camera which I did and he offered to let my son wear the jersey for a few pictures. My son was thrilled. Here are a couple of pics.
Also at the show was Dmitri Young at Memory Lanes booth. He had some of his collection there. My eyes were amazed at the beauties he had on display. PSA 10's.....Aaron Rookie, Rose Rookie, Schmidt rookie...........WOW! He was very pleasant and it was a real pleasure meeting him. I really can't accurately describe how much of a nice person he is. Here is a pic with my son.
The best moment of the day was when my son turned to me in the middle of one of the aisles, gave me a hug and said this is a great day dad, thanks for taking me. I love you.
Well, good night to a great day.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

I did see some kids at the show but not as many as I thought I would especially being a Saturday. Maybe they all were in lines for autographs? I stayed away from that area. I would never pay those prices for autographs. Thanks everyone for the good words.
